Software Developer

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Date: Nov. 2011

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary:

Convert data from specifications and statements of problems and procedures to detailed logical flow charts for coding into computer language. Develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop software applications and solutions using Microsoft .NET Technologies.
  • ASP.net web application development.
  • Use Microsoft SQL Servers to design, develop, and maintain database.
  • Consult with managerial and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes.
  • Test programs and software applications to be sure they produce the desired information and the instructions are correct.
  • Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with programs.
  • Designs and codes layouts for onscreen user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems.
  • Reviews user and technical documentation written by others to confirm consistency with program operations.
  • Generate client requester reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Sales Representative

Position Summary:

Sell IWT software products to businesses and healthcare establishments by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, websites, and other sources.
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers on sales floor, by phone, or by email.
  • Displays or demonstrates products, using demonstration equipment, and/or brochures, all the while emphasizing salable features.
  • After consultation with President quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
  • Responsible for documenting up-to-date account activities in ACT! and works with the Director of Marketing to keep marketing materials current.
  • Other duties as assigned.
