Physicians Charge Capture

Increase revenue by eliminating lost and inaccurate charges, and improve the billing process. IWT ’s physician charge capture module enables physicians to conveniently and accurately capture services and procedures performed and diagnoses treated while rounding at the hospital. Once “captured,” the charges are immediately available to the physician’s biller for timely, accurate billing.

IWT strives to make charge capture as efficient as possible for the physician. Hospital patient demographic and insurance information is already integrated into Charge Capture so that the physician does not have to perform data entry. The application is completely customizable to the individual user, allowing them to create their own favorites lists. Physicians can capture charges to the ICD-9 and CPT-4 code levels or enter as free text. A full featured search function is also available to help the physician get to the correct charge, quickly and efficiently.

Once submitted, the charges are immediately available to the biller, along with the patient’s demographic and insurance information. Charges can be downloaded and exported to the physician’s billing system. For residents, the application provides an “experience log” based on procedures, services and diagnoses performed and submitted by that resident. Charge capture is completely web based and will run on any PC or wireless mobile device. No software needs to be loaded on the end users device.
